Province of Saskatchewan
The prairie province of Saskatchewan joined Canada in 1905. Saskatchewan produces more than half of the wheat grown in Canada. Saskatchewan is the first province to implement the Canadian medicare in 1947 lead by the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s training academy, The RCMP Academy is also located in Regina, Saskatchewan.
