Originally known as Canada national Comic Book Expo, Fan Expo is now a four-day, multi-genre fan convention. Held inside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre at the foot of the CN Tower, the event is a filled with film and television stars, directors, writers, authors, and comic book artists. The event also includes panels, seminars, and workshops, previews of upcoming films, a costume contest, and portfolio review sessions with comic book and video gaming companies.

Showcasing a range of pop culture and fandom elements, including comic books, sci-fi/fantasy, anime, video games, film & television, and toys, the event draws 80,000 people every year.
